Né en 1998 à Tourou une localité de la commune de Mokolo dans le Mayo Tsanaga, frontalière du Nigéria, Mougué menait une vie paisible jusqu’en 2014: les premières attaques du groupe terroriste Boko Haram, marquées par des enlèvements, lui ont arraché sa jeunesse. Ce jeune fils de la tribu Mafa, qui avait pour espace de vie, la grande forêt de Sambisa, a dû apprendre à manier des armes à feu. Contraint à s’islamiser pour faire face à l’agression, il finira par rejoindre le groupe djihadiste en fin 2015.

Son éducation au lycée s’arrête ainsi, alors qu’il terminait son premier trimestre de la classe de 4e. Pour lui, le service d’Allah devenait primordial et passait par un combat jusqu’au prix de sa vie. « Tu ne faisais pas la guerre, on te tuait toi-même » avoue-t-il.  Une opération menée en 2017 par la force mixte multinationale, va le sauver de la barbarie et le ramener d’abord à Mora, puis à Méri. Aujourd’hui, avec sa moto, il peut s’occuper de sa petite famille constituée là dans le camp. Sa femme enceinte attend un deuxième enfant après la fillette née en novembre 2021. « Je remercie le DDR qui nous donne l’occasion de rêver encore, ma femme fait le petit commerce et moi je conduis la moto. Ici on vit en paix. » Un mot est permanent dans sa bouche, « la paix » il le répète à chacune de ses phrases. Il a vu ses proches tués aux combats, il a connu la dureté de la vie sans lendemains pendant son séjour à Sambisa. L’idée de se retrouver bientôt dans le camp de Mémé l’enchante « quand on va aller à Mémé et on va apprendre un métier, on pourra retourner au village, en espérant que la paix sera revenue » Ses remerciements aux autorités camerounaises témoignent de son désir de vivre une autre expérience.
