« LE PRADO NOIR » UN OBJET DE TORTURE OU UNE BANALITE

Depuis quelques semaines, et l’élimination atroce du chef de chaine de la radio urbaine AMPLITUDE FM, l’expression se mange à toutes les sauces. Quand un ami dans un forum écrit un commentaire osé, on lui demande s’il ne craint pas le « prado noir», quand un élève surprend ses camarades avec des informations originales, on a vite fait de lui rappeler que « le prado noir » est disponible. Voilà une des petites phrases qui vient encore s’ajouter au langage familier des camerounais, le tout pour rappeler que les hors la loi sèment à tout vent, la terreur. Cyrille Kingue Mbeppe

Nous croisons tous quotidiennement, ces véhicules élitistes chaque jour dans nos cités. Il y en a par centaines dans une ville comme Yaoundé, avec ces nombreuses administrations qui en offrent à leurs Directeurs et autres patrons. En général, c’est un véhicule utilitaire, tout terrain, qui atteste de la classe sociale de son détenteur.

Dans un témoignage devenu viral sur les réseaux sociaux, au lendemain du 17 janvier 2023, une fillette pas encore identifiée raconte avoir vu des individus à bord de ce type de véhicule, enlever de force l’homme de média. Quelques jours plus tard, les mêmes réseaux sociaux ont annoncé la mort à Douala d’un gérant d’une unité de location d’automobiles, tué pour avoir refusé de reprendre le « prado noir» qui portait des marques de sang. Toujours les réseaux sociaux nous ont relaté un incident au quartier Essos à Yaoundé, au lieu-dit Elise Bar, les populations auraient mis en déroute des individus à bord d’un « prado noir », et qui y attendaient vraisemblablement un ami de l’autre. Mais pour en faire quoi ?

Cette voiture 4*4, dont la technologie est détenue depuis 60 ans par le japonais TOYOTA, symbolise désormais au Cameroun non pas le luxe et le bien-être, mais la terreur et le règlement de compte, le règne des gros bras. Ceux qui, selon Monsieur tout le monde, ont le droit de mort et de vie sur les autres citoyens. En réalité, cette expression est dans l’ère du temps, parce que les camerounais ont cessé de croire en la justice, chacun se dit maitre de tout. On règle les comptes soi-même surtout quand on peut posséder le fameux « prado noir ».

Il est important de penser que cette expression va disparaitre avec les appels à la justice, émis çà et là par les camerounais de tout bord, les résultats attendus de l’enquête en cours nous mettrons à l’abri de ce cliché. La loi, les bonnes règles, ne sont pas tenues par ceux qui ont une aisance, à accéder au « prado noir ». La société est organisée, il y aura toujours un agent public qui fait bien son boulot sans influence du « prado noir »

Avant cela, on en a connu à la pelle des expressions saisonnières, vivement que passe la saison du « prado noir »
